Welcome back to Samui

According to the situation of the COVID-19 outbreak, starting to have a better trend on September 27, 2021, the resolution of the general meeting of the CCP has been approved. “Measures to relieve lockdown” to come back to visit Koh Samui. Each group of tourists has the following conditions.

Measures for domestic tourists

Tourists who have received all vaccine doses and intend to visit Samui after October 15, 2021, will not be required to provide RT-PCR or ATK results.

Measures for tourists arriving from abroad

From October 1, 2021, the “Samui Plus Sandbox” will allow tourists arriving from abroad both by air and by boat to not be quarantined, if the RT-PCR test results are uninfected and fully vaccinated.

Convenient transportation means there are many options to come back to serve you again.

The first method is by private car and taking the ferry at Donsak Pier. At the pier, there are 2 boat companies to choose from Seatran Ferry and Raja Ferry.  The next way is to fly direct from Bangkok to Koh Samui. The two airlines are Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways. And another way is to fly from Bangkok to Surat Thani Airport or Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport.  Because the Donsak Pier is used to travel to Koh Samui, located in the middle between these two airports, you can choose to rent a car or use public transport to reach Samui. If we don’t bring a private car to the island, we can rent a motorbike to drive on the island besides renting a motorbike.  There are also public transport services such as taxis, motorcycle taxis, and minibusses.

Koh Samui has beautiful beaches and seas.

After not receiving tourists for a long time,  Koh Samui has many beautiful beaches. Chaweng Beach stretches for more than 6 kilometers.  Chaweng Beach is a popular beach for tourists to relax, sunbathe, and do water activities such as paddle boarding, jet skiing, banana boating, and kayaking. There are also shops, many restaurants, hotels, beautiful seaside accommodation such as Baitong Restaurant, Kevin’s Bar, Café Amazon Banana Fan Sea, and Banana Fan Sea Resort, which meet SHA + standards, making customers confident in cleanliness and safety. We welcome tourists back to travel and relax again. The next beach, Lamai Beach, is a quieter beach than Chaweng Beach.  The atmosphere is very chilled because it is less crowded. There is also a white sand beach, clear water, a crescent-shaped

beach with a length of 4 kilometers and lined with beautiful coconut trees.  It is also the location of Grandfather and Grandmother’s Rock, a famous tourist attraction on Koh Samui.

Attractions near Koh Samui are ready for tourists as well
.

In addition to the water activities and attractions in Koh Samui, you can go on day trips to other attractions around Koh Samui, such as the Ang Thong Islands, where you can go on a one-day trip to see coral reefs or a one-day trip to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan. This is also a popular place for tourists. And finally, Koh Madsum, or Koh Pig in Thailand, is the current trend now. Because of our cuteness and friendliness, cute little pigs come to greet tourists closely.  Koh Madsum is located in the south of Koh Samui.  It can be reached by long-tail boat or speedboat from Koh Samui in only 15-25 minutes.

Walking street and street food serve delicious food and local products.

Bophut Walking Street or Fisherman Village is another charming old neighborhood on Koh Samui.  Originally, this used to be a fishing village.  But now it has been modified to be a tourist attraction but still retains its original form.  Many old wooden houses became shops or fresh seafood restaurants for sale in abundance, making Koh Samui colorful. A small road  Parallel to Bophut Beach, this Fisherman’s Village walking street starts to open from 5:30 pm-10:30 pm every Friday night only.

Traditional cultural attractionsVisit in the New Normal way.

Big Buddha Temple is another famous tourist attraction.  Inside, the temple enshrines the Big Buddha, or Phra Phuttha Kodom, built-in 1972 as a Buddha image in the subduing Mara posture, which is the largest Buddha image in the south. Both the people of Koh Samui and tourists alike commonly worship the Big Buddha for good fortune. But now, if you will come to see the Big Buddha, you must wear a mask and have a temperature measurement before entering the temple every time according to the New Normal way.

Koh Samui is not only good for the sea.  Waterfalls and viewpoints are ready for tourists.

Koh Samui also has a Namuang waterfall for you to enjoy and cool off.  At the bottom of the Namuang Waterfall will be a small pool where tourists can swim. Another highlight that many people may not be familiar with.  But it is widely known among foreign tourists that it is a stack of rocks, two large stones located on the hill. With a beautiful 180-degree panoramic view of the Samui sea backdrop, if whoever will travel to take photos of this stacked rock, it is recommended that you wear walking shoes to test your leg strength as the ascent is quite steep.

Koh Samui is ready to welcome tourists from all over the world.  Come back and enjoy the nature, culture, food, and way of life of the Koh Samui people again. “Welcome to Samui”
